Afternoon in the City [RT: Office/Work, and City]
Renamed to: Luck of the Gypsies
Scene 1 I'm watching two people in a car. It is an old station wagon. It's dirty white. It's part of a farm some kind of working enterprise. They are discussing that they need to have it washed but they are standing up in the car. It's still moving. It's as if they are moving along with the car as it approaches the car wash. They calmly discuss how all of the windows are open. . How it is going to get soaking wet. And then maybe later get cold and frozen and whatever problem is going to be created. But they don't really intend to do anything about it they're just discussing it calmly as if it's a natural phenomena.
Scene 2. There are four of us now in two separate cars and we are going to the city for the afternoon and evening. We pull off the side of the road. [I think this looks familiar, from another dream I had in the city. It maybe Washington DC., maybe New York City. Or a combination] We pull the two cars over and we get out and we make a plan for the afternoon. Two of the people, possibly two men, are going to go a separate way together and possibly meet us later. There is another person that I am with. [Could be a man could be a woman I'm not sure] We are going to meet up for a business meeting later with a client. But I have the afternoon to myself. And I start walking down the street.
Scene 3. As I'm walking down the street I start fooling with what I think is a raincoat and later becomes an umbrella. It is is a compacted piece of black flexible plastic. As I unfold it from the inside out it becomes obvious what it is. First a raincoat. Then on an umbrella. It's black and shiny.
I realize that I need to meet up with the other person several hours later. During that time I need to prepare for the meeting possibly go to the library to do some research. But most of the afternoon I have to myself. As I walk down the street I realize people are singing. It's as if I'm in a musical and there is a song going on and each person is singing a few words or a few lines. It's something like I love New York. I may be singing with them as well. Now that I realize I'm in the song walking down the street I'm enjoying it and interacting with different people as I walk down the street.
Scene 4. I come to a group of gypsies. They are playing a game in a circle but they're also doing some work like baking or something I'm not sure what. They're dressed in peasant garb from the middle ages. The game they are playing involves a coin or a small item being tossed back-and-forth and when it comes to each they bump it up in the air and keep it going. They are out on the sidewalk so as I walk through their group the coin hits me and I've hit it with my shoulder or hand and it is tossed up in the air and the game continues. So I'm a little surprised that I briefly participate in the game and didn't interrupt it but I'm still not through the circle. Just before I leave the coin lands on my back it is caught like in a sleeve or pocket or something. So it doesn't hit the ground but the game is stopped. A woman next to me picks the coin out from wherever it is on my back and I turn around and look at her. She is extraordinarily beautiful and young. She hands me the coin. She explains it to me and to one of the other men in the game that this was very fortuitous the way it landed on me and it was a natural thing and she hands me the corn and says I should keep it. And then I think that I am so lucky that a gypsy has given me a coin. Usually it is the other way around. I look into her eyes see her face and in credible detail. I ask her if I can spend some time with her. I am thinking and I explaine to her that I'm much older and it's this is not some sort of romantic opportunity I'm not propositioning her I just want to spend the afternoon with her. Then I wake up
Notes: I move slightly but still keep my eyes close I realize I have been dreaming. I go back in the dream and am trying to remember it. Break it down into scenes. As I do this I go back into the dream and there's a new scene that I start participating in. I resist and try to remember the dream so that I can report it.
Weegee Hogging the Bed.
It's warm in the bed and Weejee as usual is leaning against me. I finally get frustrated and completely turn around. I'm trying to get away from her so that her body is not touching mine but she keeps nudging over..At one point I take my hand and place it on my stomach so that she is only leaning against my hand and not my stomach. I feel that this is going to make me less hot. But when I think back on the dream I think. I may have just imagined moving my hand and I'm wondering if that was my first episode of moving an imaginary hand and possibly doing an out of body experience. It's difficult to tell.I was also dreaming about some process I was doing with my body that made no sense when I woke up. Another indicator I was dreaming.
Notes: It's now 6:03. Exactly the time that I told myself I need to get up each morning. I'm going to get up. And stay up for the morning trying to see if I can stay up all day and therefore go to bed early tonight. [DH] I its becoming more apparent that I often visit familiar places in my dreams. This is a dream sign for me. I can use this during the day as a reality check. Notice familiar places during the day and ask, "am I dreaming?" When I am dreaming it should feel/look familiar but different. Help me become lucid.

The Rider
[I am in my bed after going back to sleep..I said I wouldn't. I wake and feel it is about 11:00a, ~2hrs of sleeping, but I am not sure. I try and have one more dream, I do not remember any at the moment, but know I have been dreaming. I can hear the fan, it is on high. I had a brief image of grass, very stiff short grass, and imagine that the fan is the sound of a lawn mower as I try and go back into the dream world. I a torn weather I am procrastinating or working. I wake and realize I have been dreaming.]
There are several others in the dream. Young men and women. One of the women comments that I am now "one of the boys" but she doesn't use the word boys. She says decker, like one who builds decks and is identifying me by what activity I am doing with the other guys. It makes me feel warm and wanted. I am riding a bike. I am zipping through traffic and nimbly steering the bike even though there is something missing, like an arm. No worries, I come to a curb, glide onto the sidewalk, make a tight circle and stop. I wake up.
Notes: Upon awakening I realize a couple of things that make me happy. First that [DH] I intentionally went into the dream world very effectively morphing the real world fan noise into a dream lawnmower noise (it usually happens by accident in the opposite direction). Second that I was riding a bike and it was possible a motorcycle earlier in the dream. The movement is very similar. I really felt the movement. The riding is the second thing I want to do after looking in the mirror in my next lucid dream/The Phase. Very cool. Now if I can just figure out a way to ride into the dream like I mowed the grass into this one.
So this is literally my dream bike. I am dreaming of owning it, but I want to ride it in a dream. The meaning of literal gets a little sketchy at this point.
