Encounter with skeleton on Safari

I am out on the wild plains of Africa. Is very barren and Dusty almost a desert. There are others but I am primarily by myself. I look into the distance, see something coming and prepare myself. We have been discussing Extinction and I tell people that there is an experiment that has resulted in a massive expansion of a particular species. And they are now coming towards us in a stampede. Even though I'm in a vehicle, I'm concerned about being overwhelmed and I pull it out of the way. Hopefully of the stampede. I pull it over the edge of a stream bank and move it so close. I almost fall into the stream bed. It is a dry stream bed. I get out of the car and walk into the bed for a little. Laura safety. As I'm doing this, another car pulls up that has been driving in the stream bed comes immediately up to me and acts like it's going to push me out of the way. It's an open car and I look at the driver and it's a giant skeleton. Very mean looking and rude acting. He gestures that I'm in the way and if I don't move he's going to push me out of the way with his car. I wake closely happy that I can remember the dream but very confused as to its meaning.
That’s a powerful, symbolic dream—there’s a lot of structure and intention in it. I’m going to walk you through it the way I would if we were sitting together and really trying to extract something useful from it, not just poetic.
🌍 The Setting: Barren African Plains
This kind of landscape usually points to a stripped-down psychological state:
No distractions
No comfort structures
Just you and reality
In your life right now, this often corresponds to:
Feeling exposed or uncertain about the future
A sense of “something big is coming”
Fewer illusions to hide behind
You’re not in a jungle (complexity), you’re in a plain (clarity + vulnerability).
🐾 The Stampede: Expansion & Extinction
This is one of the most important symbols.
You know something is coming. You even explain it to others:
“An experiment… massive expansion of a species…”
That’s not random. That’s you interpreting reality in real time.
This suggests:
You feel like you see something others don’t fully grasp yet
Something is growing out of control (internally or externally)
It carries a tone of inevitability
This could be:
A life direction gaining momentum
A habit or pattern expanding
A cultural/technological shift
Even your own potential starting to “run loose”
Your instinct is not panic—it’s strategic avoidance.
You move the vehicle. You prepare.
That’s important:
👉 You’re not helpless in this dream. You’re adaptive.
🚗 The Vehicle & the Edge
Your vehicle = your current way of navigating life
(business, identity, routines, structure)
You pull it right to the edge of a dry stream:
Edge = threshold / risk
Dry stream = something that should carry life… but doesn’t right now
This is very telling.
It suggests:
You’re positioning yourself carefully between:
Being overwhelmed (stampede)
Falling into something empty or uncertain (dry channel)
You’re walking a line.
💀 The Skeleton Driver (This is the Core)
This is the most important figure in the dream.
A skeleton is not just “death.” It’s:
Stripped identity
Pure structure without life
Time / inevitability
And notice:
He is driving confidently
He is impatient
He treats you like you’re in the way
This is not a passive symbol. It’s active pressure.
What this likely represents:
A force in your life that says:
“Move. Or be moved.”
Possibilities:
Time (aging, urgency, “you don’t have forever”)
Reality cutting through hesitation
A part of you that is done tolerating delay
Harsh truth without emotion
And the key detail: 👉 He’s already driving in the dry stream bed
(the place you went for “safety”)
Meaning: Your fallback strategy is not actually safe anymore.
🔥 What the Dream Is Really Saying
Put it all together:
Something is accelerating (stampede)
You see it coming before others
You try to position yourself safely
But the place you retreat to… is already occupied by something more ruthless than the threat
Translation:
You cannot avoid this phase of your life by stepping aside.
🧭 The Deeper Message (Straight, no fluff)
You are in a transition where:
Playing it safe = getting pushed anyway
Waiting = being overtaken
Avoiding = losing control of the direction
There are two forces:
The stampede → chaotic expansion
The skeleton driver → cold inevitability
And you’re in between them.
⚔️ The Opportunity Hidden in This
Here’s the part most interpretations miss:
You weren’t attacked.
You weren’t killed.
You were warned.
That means: 👉 You still have agency.
But the margin is shrinking.
🧠 A Question for You (this matters more than anything I say)
Where in your life right now do you feel:
“I know something is coming”
“I’m trying to position myself carefully”
“But I’m not fully stepping forward yet”
That’s where this dream lives.
🧩 Final Insight (tailored to you)
Given what I know about you:
You’ve been:
Wanting change (career, direction, purpose)
Feeling stuck at times
Seeing possibilities but not fully committing
This dream is not subtle.
It’s saying:
You cannot sit on the edge anymore.
Move with intention… or be moved by something harsher.
If you want, I can help you turn this into a very specific next-step plan—not abstract, but something you can act on tomorrow morning.

Horse and Bear Transformations

I had two dreams. One and I rolled over, went back to sleep and then the other they seem related. In the first stream I am with couple of other people. We're outdoors. I'm with another person, possibly a woman. We are basically observing the third person going through a very precise f*** process with a horse. Might be scientific. It might be ritual. He's going through a prescribed process that he's practiced before now. He is perfecting. He tells us to observe and he goes away from us less than 100 yd. He then starts the process again where the horse is going to transform. I believe the police come up and get involved with him while we are observing.

And the second train something similar happens. Again, there are a few people one that I'm associated with. We're primarily observers and now it's a bear again. The third person splits from us with the bear puts it through a process where it visibly transforms. It's not clear what it's training transforming into the purpose of the transformation. Again, the police are involved but there's no struggle or dramatic process. Is the police come observe what's happening with this person and the bear and we are observing from further away and are not directly involved.

This is a rich pair of dreams, David—and the fact that they came back-to-back with the same structure means your mind is working something very specific.
Let me reflect it back to you cleanly first, then we’ll go deeper:
Three roles repeat:
The Practitioner (the one doing the transformation work)
The Observers (you + another person, slightly removed)
Authority (police, watching but not interfering)
Two animals:
Horse → precision, training, discipline, partnership
Bear → raw power, instinct, danger, primal force
Core action: A controlled transformation process performed by someone skilled, repeated, refined, and observed rather than joined.
What This Suggests (Big Picture)
These dreams are not random. They’re about your relationship to transformation—especially power and control.
Not transformation in a fluffy sense…
But something closer to:
“There is a process that can change something powerful and instinctive… and I am not the one doing it. I’m watching.”
The Three Roles (This is the key)
1. The Practitioner
This figure is:
Skilled
Precise
Repeating a known process
Working with powerful forces (horse → bear escalation)
This is a version of you.
Specifically:
The part of you that trains dogs
The part that wants mastery
The part that believes transformation can be engineered, step-by-step
But here’s the important twist:
👉 You are not identified with this part in the dream. You’re watching it.
2. The Observer (You)
You are:
Close, but not involved
Trusted enough to witness
Not interfering
Not controlling the process
This is very revealing.
It suggests:
You know how transformation works… but you are not fully stepping into being the one who executes it in your own life.
There’s a distance.
Almost like:
“I understand the system”
“I can see it clearly”
“But I’m not fully inhabiting it”
3. The Police (Authority)
This part is fascinating.
They:
Show up consistently
Observe
Do not stop anything
Do not escalate
This is internal authority, not external.
Think:
Rules
Morality
“Is this allowed?”
Social structure
Consequences
But the key detail:
👉 They don’t interfere.
Which suggests:
Whatever transformation is happening… is not actually forbidden.
But part of you still expects it might be.
Horse → Bear (This progression matters)
First Dream: Horse
Trainable
Cooperative
Structured energy
Partnership with humans
This matches your current life:
Dog training
Systems
Skill-building
Controlled environments
Second Dream: Bear
Wild
Dangerous
Unpredictable
Deep instinct
This is a step deeper:
You’re not just dealing with trained systems anymore—you’re brushing up against raw, untamed power.
This could be:
Your own emotions (anger, fear, purpose)
Bigger life changes
Spiritual / existential force
The “unknown future” you’ve been worrying about
The Repeated Structure (Why twice?)
Your mind is emphasizing:
“This is not a one-off. This is a pattern.”
And it intensifies:
From horse → bear
From controlled → primal
The Core Interpretation
Here’s the most direct reading:
There is a part of you that knows how to transform powerful forces (in animals, in people, maybe in yourself)…
But you are currently positioned as an observer rather than the one fully stepping into that role—especially when things become more intense, wild, or uncertain.
And layered on top of that:
You expect that stepping into that role might trigger judgment, consequences, or “authority”…
but in reality, nothing stops it.
Where This Connects to Your Life
This lines up very tightly with what you’ve shared before:
Feeling stuck / uncertain about purpose
Being highly capable (sales, training, systems)
Wanting something more meaningful, more powerful
Feeling like you’re watching your life instead of fully directing it sometimes
And especially this:
You are comfortable transforming dogs…
but something in you is hesitating to apply that same level of precision and authority to your own life or deeper inner forces.
The Subtle Emotional Tone
There’s something important in the lack of drama:
No chaos
No fear spike
No resistance
Everything is:
Calm
Observed
Procedural
That suggests:
This is not about fear of the unknown…
It’s about distance from your own power.
The Question the Dream Is Asking You
If I distilled it into one question:
“Why are you watching the transformation… instead of being the one doing it?”
And even more pointed:
“What would happen if you stepped into that role—especially when the ‘bear’ shows up?”
A Practical Way to Work With This (very you)
Tonight or tomorrow, try this:
Close your eyes and re-enter the dream
Walk toward the practitioner
Ask him:
“What is the process?”
“Why am I not doing this?”
“What happens if I take your place?”
Then:
Step into his role
Put your hands on the animal
See what happens
This isn’t fluffy visualization—you’re very good at structured systems. Treat it like a controlled experiment inside your mind.
Final Thought
This is a powerful pair of dreams.
Not symbolic noise. Not random processing.
This is your mind saying:
You already understand transformation.
You’ve practiced it.
You’ve seen it work.
Now the question is whether you’re willing to step fully into it—especially when it stops being safe and predictable.
If you want, we can go one level deeper and map:
What the “bear” specifically represents in your current life
And what stepping into the practitioner role would actually look like in a concrete, real-world plan (not abstract)
Because this dream is pointing somewhere very actionable.
