Danny Boy [Big Dream] [Rated R: Mature Theme]
I am in a crowded working place. Maybe a market. There's a lot of bustling and moving around there are tables People carrying heavy loads. I am with at least one other person. Is not clear what I am doing. There is an ominous feeling to my work We are working very hard at What maybe Meat Processing. Sam's rows big slabs of raw meat. There's some blood. Again a lot of activity. This goes on for an extended. Of time.
The more I work the more I realize something is very wrong. These are not animal carcasses these are human carcasses. Somehow the person that I am working with and I are responsible for killing them. I have no memory of the incident. But I have an increasing knowledge of who these people are and that the circumstances of their deaths were very complex.
These are not random strangers they were people that I was very close to. They were part of a larger extended family. The people that run the family the Patriarchs run the business that I'm working on. They don't realize what we have done. So I am working on these carcasses trying to destroy the evidence so that I will not be discovered. We are getting close to the end of our task when someone realizes something is very wrong. They start looking for us and we start hiding underneath all of the furniture and the activity.
We are crawling around. The people looking for us don't realize we're there. So they're very concerned, they're very anxious but they aren't looking for us in the immediate vicinity. I have a deep sense of guilt and purpose. I have no idea why I did this, but it was no accident. Then all hell breaks loose. there is frantic chasing grabbing escaping. Everyone knows us. Please try to hide in plain sight. At some point when we get just Out Of Reach for a side of our pursuers we stand up act relax and walking to the marketplace. Several people see us and recognize us they are not aware that anything odd is going on. We casually walk out of town with the intention of ever coming back.
"Danny Boy"
Oh Danny boy, the pipes, the pipes are calling
From glen to glen, and down the mountain side
The summer's gone, and all the roses falling
It's you, it's you must go and I must bide.
But come ye back when summer's in the meadow
Or when the valley's hushed and white with snow
It's I'll be here in sunshine or in shadow
And I'll be here in sunshine or in shadow
Oh Danny boy, oh Danny boy, I love you so.
But when ye come, and all the flow'rs are dying
If I am dead, as dead I well may be
You'll come and find the place where I am lying
And kneel and say an ave there for me.
And I shall hear, though soft you tread above me
And all my grave will warmer, sweeter be
For you will bend and tell me that you love me
And I shall sleep in peace until you come to me.
Danny Boy: The title of the song came to me. I thought that it was because the setting felt vaguely rural Irish. Now that I look at the lyrics, it is about dying. If you had asked me what this song is about (I have heard pieces of it a million times) I would just say sweet memories of Ireland. Weird.
