The Maddening Scientist
I am in my apartment. There is an irritating noise coming from outside. It is a small regular knocking at a very precise place in the wall. I am with a friend. We investigate. There is a small room right next to my apartment that that there seem to be mysterious experimentation going on. They share a single wall. It's like they are inside a closet in my house. The noise is extremely regular and irritating. It is like the tell tale heart or Chinese water torture. I can feel each knock at the wall.
We are concerned about the seemingly nefarious activity. The dream spills into a segment where the scientist needs to drive to a second location. Now I am driving or in a car with Nathan. I see a very small brick house next to mine that is touching both houses it is packed between. I have never seen this house. I imagine the neighbor (who is also suspect) has cleaned up some thick growth that has now revealed the house. The image is expressly clear and in focus. It is a brick bungalow with a small front porch and two supports holding up the roof that slants to the front of the porch, with three stairs coming to the front walk. There is no room for the house. The windows would be looking into the neighbors. windows.
I am now back in the hallway of the apartment. The irritating noise is still going on but my mood is more jovial. The door occupationally opens to the lab and we see many people in white lab coats crammed in there. We assume they are students. One of them is very cute. My friend proposes I talk with her. I tell him there is nothing preventing him from doing it. He does and brings her to our table. I act nonchalant and begin small talk. I wake still irritated at the noise but more relaxed. As I wake I realize the sound is real and coming from my CPAP machine. Water has condensed in the air tube and is gurgling very regularly.
Notes: I was immediately amused after waking, but really irritated and sometimes scared during the dream. It is so early I am taking supplements and doing WBTB.
