I am with Cindy at some roadside event. I need to retrieve Alex, we are not far from home. I begin the walk and immediately have difficulty. I find myself on a street I do not recognize. I call Cindy (or ask out loud) do we have an eBay street? The dream is very vivid and detailed. I walk thru a line of bushes with gaps just big enough for a person.

I am returning in Cindy's car with Alex, but the going it rough. At some point I get to the bushes that a car won't fit through. I run into a cart full of things from a rummage sale. Somehow an electrical appliance comes on in some way connected to the car (maybe thru the windshield) The car turns over or nearly so.

I look up and the sky is amazing and beautiful. I say out loud, it look like a petri dish. I turn to tell Alex and when I look back ti has changed. As I look at it is changing rapidly. There are many shapes migrating rapidly across the sky and changing in shape and color.

There are several people milling around and I ask loudly for help. A man responds and then is briefly out of sight. I panic but he appears and come to the car. We know each other from past encounters, but we can't remember each other's names. He pronounces his and gives a phonetic reminder on how to pronounce it (Solevey?) He looks me straight in the eyes just inches away. Do we know each other from the ManKind Project, The Y? Yes, he says and Elvis too. I think to myself, must have been the Elvis parade in Carrboro.  I wake. Amazed yet frustrated I did not go lucid.

Notes: I had a pre-lucid dream the night before actually saying in the dream, "Am I dreaming.?" I believe part of me is screaming "wake up" in my dream. Maybe in my waking life as well.

What does the dream want? For me to wake up in my dreams and in my life. Wow.

How do I respond? First by adding this prompt to my dream journal. I Googled "how to listen to that small voice in your head." Meditation. Plus attention to detail. Plus, ask, be quiet, listen, and then follow the advice.  Commitment to action (Followed up in Burton 5.0) meditate 30 minutes a day from now on.
